Terry was raised in Maryville MO where he attended the same assembly of God church his grandparents were saved in during a revival meeting. He was only 13 when he put his faith in the work and resurrection of Jesus Christ to save him. Terry felt the call of God on his life to preach the moment he received the filling of the Holy Spirit at age 15. Within a year’s time a pastor asked him to preach a Sunday night service. One of Terry’s friends from high school attended that service and received Jesus as his personal Savior! Praise the Lord! During his high school years, Terry had the privilege of leading 4 others to the Lord as a youth pastor!
With a strong desire to apply Proverbs 11:30 - “He who wins souls is wise” - Terry decided to go to Bible School where he learned more about soul winning. He began pastoring at the age of 21 which gave him the opportunity to win souls to the kingdom of God and encourage and bless the saints!
One of Terry’s favorite verses is John 3:16 because he believes it's the simplest verse to understand the plan of salvation. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”
Many have been saved, healed, and baptized through the years by the work of God in Terry Colwell Ministries! Terry continues doing evangelist work with a desire to win souls and encourage the saints. His heart is to help God’s people discover who they are in Christ!
